Last week I went up to Sydney for a couple of meetings (one of which was with the Chris Raine and the team at Hello Sunday Morning (HSM).
Joining HSM to support me in my quest to give up drinking was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. It was absolutely fantastic to meet the people behind the platform to say thank you and to share with them how the work they do helped changed my life and how being a part of their community inspired so much of what we are now doing within The Happiness Hunter.
If you are feeling like you could do with a break to reassess your relationship with alcohol, I really encourage you to check out the HSM website. It's a great, supportive and non-judgemental community of other souls with a similar goal.
However, what was really interesting about my trip to Sydney, was not about the business that I went up there for - but what actually happened as I was leaving Sydney.
There were three very different, yet totally random conversations with total random strangers. Each of these connections reminded me that random is never random and it will always serve us well to remember that.
Never underestimate the power of a random conversation with a random stranger in a random setting... because what if it's never actually random?
I'd love to know your answer to this. What has been your most random connection with a random stranger in a random location, and what happened next?
And here is a pic of Chris Raine and I - he is the Founder & CEO of HSM and a most excellent human being. Chris also featured on a recent episode of #BusinessAddicts - the podcast.
