Like a lot of us, I’ve had my struggles over the years, but it feels like I’m finding the way through and I just wanted to share some of my thoughts on the ways that I have learned – and am continuing to learn – to live the great gift that is my life as well and as positively and as meaningfully as I can. In every day of my life.
We all deserve to be happy people living happy lives.
And one of the most liberating things I have learned is that the power to do that and be that and experience that comes from within me.
It’s nothing to do with anything outside of me. It’s within each and every one of us. And it exists always. It is not dependent on a single thing outside of me, either as it’s cause or as it’s solution.
Understanding this great truth was, for me, the first step.
Learning the power within acceptance, forgiveness and gratitude has changed me too.
Nearly 5 years ago I felt like I was looking down the barrel of a life that I didn’t want to be living. And I honestly had no idea how I could possibly change that.
Today, I can’t even begin to relate to that feeling.
Because I have learnt that with belief and hope and faith and trust and action and movement and stillness and letting go that anything is possible.
I’ve learnt about the importance of living with intention and purpose and how important it is to focus on listening and good communication and prioritising having a healthy and loving and balanced relationship with myself and with the people around me, and to feel part of a supportive community.
And I’m coming to understand that the more deeply I can give of myself to the world, the richer my life experience is becoming.
But most importantly I have learnt that my happiness is an active choice in each and every moment.
For it is in the awareness of the present moment that the power lives.
I am not a mental health expert and I’m certainly not here to tell anyone how to live their lives if they don’t want to hear it. I may have experienced mental health challenges and I have many people in my world who live with serious mental illness every day, but this does not make me an authority on the subject or even a person who has any idea what might be going on for you.
I am simply a person who is learning the ways on how to experience my life in a happier way, and I feel a real and genuine desire to share that message in the biggest way I possibly can, because my life is infinitely better than what it used to be, as I learned to change my mind about things and to practice this way of being on a daily basis.
And it’s this growing sense of inner peace that I wish for you too.
With all of my love,
