Something very cool happened today.
You may recall that I wrote a book about something that completely changed my life – meditation – and self published it this year (It’s called The Happiness Hunter’s Guide to Meditation). It’s a great book, and has moved quite a few copies just through my website and at workshops and through my corporate clients but I’ve been thinking I really need to do something a bit more to get it out there.
Anyway yesterday I get a message from the Art Director of a feature film that is being shot in Melbourne that they need a book on alternative healing for a scene where the main character (played by Hugo Weaving) needs to be reading a book on that topic. It was too short notice to get something mocked up so they were looking for a book that someone could loan them. Someone tagged me in a post (I don’t know who it was but if it was you THANK YOU very much whoever you are) and today I dropped off a copy of the book to be used as a prop in the film.
I asked Anna, the Art Director, if she would be able to take a photo of Hugo reading the book on set. She said no, unfortunately, as they are really strict about what is released on social media etc before film release, but she said, don’t worry – you’ll be able to take a still picture of him reading it in the movie when it comes out early next year.

It’s one way of getting the book out there that is for sure! And it’s just such a fun, out of left field kind of way of that happening.
Never underestimate what happens when you take action – and keep taking action – and put yourself out there. The wheels are always turning in the background, even if you can’t see the results yet. The Universe works in truly remarkable ways.
