Over the last few weeks, there has been a common theme that has emerged in both how I am operating in my own life and business, and how it is for most of the clients I have been working with.

In reality, most things are actually very simple.  But we humans do like to over complicate the most simple and uncomplicated of things.

You can watch the video here.

The issue is that we have stuff that we think about doing, that we want to do, or need to do, or that we say we are going to do.

And these things are actually extremely simple.

It’s just an action that we need to take in this present moment to move us towards something that we want to achieve or see realised.

But what we do, is we over complicate this incredibly uncomplicated thing – we add so many layers of complexity to it, try to consider the variables, allow emotion to become involved, try to work out well if this happens then that will happen and then this might occur – we spend so much time in our heads making this simple and very uncomplicated thing into a big drama that we become so overwhelmed with all of the stuff that we have built around this uncomplicated thing (that has now become very complicated), that we sit on it and don’t take any action.

And this is not a pleasant place to be.

It is this lack of action, this procrastination, this trying to understand everything about the next 50 steps before we can move, that is actually the problem.

What was uncomplicated (taking a simple action in the now, in this very present moment), very quickly becomes a massively big deal simply because we did not act.

The only way we can overcome this over complication is to bring ourselves back to the present moment and simply ask – what is it that I need to do right now?

And then.

Just. Do. It.

The next steps will always (and sometimes only) show themselves through action.

And action is the only antidote to fear.

It’s really very simple.

Love always,

Fiona xxx
