Good Enough Goals

 

The point of setting goals is that it’s never about the destination, it’s who we become along the way.

In this episode of the podcast, I’m exploring the idea of being okay with “good enough” in setting a goal and not having to push and always be aiming higher. To just set a goal and that be enough.

To learn how to appreciate and acknowledge what is being achieved / has been achieved, to deeply see that as the result of a previous goal having been attained. To stop and pause and be grateful for that; without having to keep moving the goal posts to feel like I am succeeding.

I recently set a goal that was for my health. My daily vision for my life is to be the fittest, healthiest and happiest I have ever been. I didn’t set this goal to smash every record ever set. I simply set it to help me be fit and healthy.

It’s been a fascinating process observing myself in the process of it, and I wanted to share that with you.

My mission in life is to share everything I have learned – and am continuing to learn – about turning my own life around and to really help you understand that happiness is to be found in the overcoming of obstacles and challenges in your life, and not in the absence of them.  To achieve your potential in life, you need to become your potential.  And for that to be, you need to understand yourself, and learn how to harness your strengths and overcome your weaknesses.   You have the power within you to create whatever reality you choose, and I am here to help you know that if you don’t like what you are experiencing, then you can absolutely change that.   But you do have to choose, believe, and be open to all possibilities, and to keep showing up every day, even when it feels really hard. Because if you do what is easy, your life will be hard.  But if you do what is hard, your life will be easy.
