Wealth Activism with David Murdoch

Wealth activism is about focusing on your values, priorities, objectives and outcome as the starting point. It is about getting very clear on your desired lifestyle; what you would like to be able to be, do and have and then making a plan to make it happen. The wealth management aspect – the product or the vehicle – comes next.
 
 
In this episode of the podcast, I’m joined by David Murdoch. David is a Wealth Activist and the founder of Paxton Bridge He works in the exciting space of Financial Advisory, focusing on family groups, private business owners and successful individuals within the C-Suite.
 
I was really keen to get him on the show, because money is a real thing for a lot of us. Making it, spending it, saving it, growing it. I really loved the approach David had towards financial wellbeing and wealth activism and I know that our conversation today will be of great use to a lot of our listeners. Before we initially spoke, my belief was that I was in the middle ground after having implemented The Barefoot Investor and Profit First (both of which I highly recommend by the way) but not at the point to speak with a Financial Advisor – yet. And what I discovered, was that this was not actually true.

My mission in life is to share everything I have learned – and am continuing to learn – about turning my own life around and to really help you understand that happiness is to be found in the overcoming of obstacles and challenges in your life, and not in the absence of them.  To achieve your potential in life, you need to become your potential.  And for that to be, you need to understand yourself, and learn how to harness your strengths and overcome your weaknesses.   You have the power within you to create whatever reality you choose, and I am here to help you know that if you don’t like what you are experiencing, then you can absolutely change that.   But you do have to choose, believe, and be open to all possibilities, and to keep showing up every day, even when it feels really hard. Because if you do what is easy, your life will be hard.  But if you do what is hard, your life will be easy.
